What Does 14/20 Gold-Filled Mean?
Gold-filled metal is constructed in two or three layers. The core metal is jewelers’ brass, and then the gold is bonded to the surface of the brass core with heat and pressure. Unlike gold plated metals, gold-filled metal is legally required to contain 5% or 1/20 of 14k gold by weight.

The safest way to clean this jewelry is with a soft bristle toothbrush. Scrub lightly using warm water and dish soap. You may also softly rub your jewelry with the cleaning cloth provided in your package. It is important not to do this too much or too often, as you'll risk removing the gold over time.
